To replace a fork seal, you don't need to remove the dampening cartridge which is still in the inner tube assembly. Below is the fork all cleaned and prepped for reassembly. Sprint ST 1050 Has anybody tried going from 10w to maybe 12w on the fork oil and maybe upping the oil level a bit (like 5-10mm) in an attempt to increase the damping somewhat and get some of the brake dive under control? That will be the first thing I'll try, before deciding on a fork upgrade.
Put it on the centerstand and weight the rear down. Loosen both the caps, pull up the front wheel about 2", crack the locking nut under the cap and screw off the cap. Then you can pull the springs off, lift the front wheel all the way and check the fork oil level. The level can be increased a little to help with bottoming.
